Continuing with their « see-now-buy-now » trend, the Burberry house presented its show for Summer 2017 instead of the following winter. Christopher Bailey tirelessly rethinks the brand’s core codes, managing to deliver a coherent version of the Burberry couple, as romantic, aesthetic and literary as one can imagine. Blouses become dresses, summer knits replace military pieces, and lace even interferes in the men’s locker room in small doses (fortunately). A subtle deconstruction game tilts the Hamptons silhouette into the heart of the matter, namely the painting of a century-old house that never looked so young.
